The Management of Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, led by the Vice-Chancellor, visited the Lagos Business School (LBS) on Tuesday, 13th January, 2026, to strengthen institutional ties, cross-pollinate ideas, and explore areas of collaboration in transformative education.
The AUI delegation was warmly received by the Dean of LBS, Professor Olayinka David-West, who highlighted the School’s commitment to mission-driven growth, innovation, and strategic partnerships aimed at achieving sustainable impact. She emphasized the importance of collaboration in driving systemic and positive change.
Key presentations were made on faculty development, leadership integration in academic programmes, alumni relations, strategic planning, branding, and sustainable operations. These discussions underscored LBS’s focus on quality education, strong alumni engagement, structured planning, effective branding, and renewable energy initiatives.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor of Augustine University, Rev. Fr. Professor Anthony Alaba Akinwale, OP, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and acknowledged Professor Chris Ogbechie, a member of the AUI Governing Council, for facilitating the interaction. He noted the shared values and objectives of both institutions and emphasized the need to produce technocrats who combine technical competence with ethical integrity. He also proposed sustained collaboration between both institutions for mutual growth.
Other members of the AUI delegation, including the Registrar, Mrs. Margaret Aziba; the Bursar, Mrs. Omowunmi Rojaiye; Principal Librarian, Mr. Adeyinka Oshilalu; and Principal Assistant Registrar, Mr. Michael Okodua and Director of Academic Planning, Dr. Rukevwe Olughor, appreciated the insights shared, particularly on recruitment, alumni engagement, quality assurance, and staff development.

The visit ended with a tour of the LBS facilities and a group photograph to mark the occasion.
